Police 'Scam' Shopper to investigate branded shoes in Jurong Point

SINGAPORE - drinkers in Jurong Point believed they'd scored a deal when they stumbled selling sneakers in a discount.

Victims dropped a total of 1.4 million, and the most significant sum cheated in one instance last year was 60,700.

Several of these responded with disbelief after they realised they'd dropped to the"scam".

The movie was one of a collection of initiatives established as a part of their Jurong Police Division perception programme on Saturday.

Even the Ministry of Home Affairs had stated that despite the reduction in the amount of all scams, it's still a source of concern because of the number of cases that were documented.

Staff in the booth, that stated that they were from a brand new firm named Liaison, advised shoppers that they could purchase"any manufacturer and any dimension" of sneakers for about $30.

Latest police figures published this year revealed there were 1,961 instances of e-commerce scams this past year, an 8.4 percent fall from the 2,140 reported from 2016.

The shoppers were led off to some room, in which there was on scams a movie first also screened.
